Getting Started

There are multipe ways to use Actya. The only prerequisite is the .NET 4 framework.

Add to an existing application with NuGet

This assumes that you're developing a .NET 4.0 web application with Visual Studio 2010 and have NuGet installed.
Open de Package Manager Console and enter:

Install-Package -Pre Actya

After NuGet has finished the installation, The installer will kick in when you start the application.
Note that you have to use the -Pre switch because Actya is still in a Pre-Release state.

Use as standalone application

Download the latest binary .zip package from http://actya.codeplex.com/releases. Extract the package to a folder and configure a website or application in IIS that points to the folder. Make sure that the IIS application pool uses the .NET 4.0 framework.

Building from source

Get the source code with your favorite Mercurial client from https://hg01.codeplex.com/actya or download the latest source package from http://actya.codeplex.com/releases. Open the Visual Studio Solution in the /src folder hit (CTRL-)F5!

This looks worth investigating. I really like the fact that you are using the most up-to-date technologies (such as RavenDb), which is saying a lot in this ever-changing world in which we live in!
